1
Spring is here again
a wild flower blossoms
near the graveside
2
Snow knows our secrets
it hides them
flake by flake
3

is all that it takes
to tell the whole story
4

but I don’t want
blood on my hands
5

like firecrackers
a war-torn child convinces himself
6

on how to perform proper burial rites
for a child
buried alive
into the ground}}
